What we see in the physical world is a symbolic picture of what transpired in the spiritual world.
The Divine equation: First the spiritual, then the physical follows
Whatever happens in the physical world is a consequence perpetuated in the spiritual world. God is sovereign, but not all things that happen on earth are according to His Will, such as the evil and wickedness done on earth. This is the reason why Jesus taught his disciples to pray for God’s Will in heaven to be done on earth.
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven. Matt.6:8-10 NKJV
In discernment, it is important to know and understand our spirit, its role, and its function in both worlds, the physical and spiritual worlds.
The Anatomy of Our Spirit
Our body and spirit are one.
Our physical body is symbolic of our spirit.
The anatomy of our physical body is symbolic of the anatomy of our spirit; thus, whatever our body naturally has, our spirit supernaturally has it too. For example, our body has vital organs; likewise, our spirit has supernatural vital organs too.
Our body has 5 senses; likewise, our spirit has 5 senses:
physical eyes—spiritual eyes
physical ears—spiritual ears
physical nose—spiritual nose
physical mouth—spiritual mouth
physical skin—spiritual skin.
Our spirit is the life of our physical bodies. Thus, when our spirit leaves our body, our body dies. But our spirit does not die—it goes to a place where God destined it to be, either to heaven or to hell.
Your Mind Is the Brain of Your Spirit
The mind is the central core of our existence. It is the decision-maker. It decides consciously or subconsciously as the intel processor of our physical and spiritual being. Our mind is both intuitive and cognitive.
Our mind connects to both worlds, the physical and spiritual worlds.
Our mind connects with God.
Our mind talks to God. We mind-talk.
Our mind listens to God. We mind-listen.
God’s voice is heard by our mind as a thought.
Our mind receives insights. Insights are revelations. They are received as a thought.

Think Positive, Think Divine
In life’s journey, we encounter challenges. When we are held captive by a situation that does not sit well with us, we have to align our thoughts with God.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 NKJV
In everything be thankful, because this is God's will for you in the Messiah Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ISV
Delete Negative Thoughts
Negative thoughts are like little foxes that spoil the vine.
Catch us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes. Song of Solomon 2:15 NKJV
Negative thoughts lead to depression. Get out of it quickly. Shift to positive thoughts. Receive God’s thoughts. Search the Scriptures. Meditate on it. Discuss and reason with God. Listen and obey Him.
Regard Trials as Divine Avenues for Training
“Nobody is exempt from the trials of life, but everyone can always find something positive in everything, even in the worst of times.”
― Roy T. Bennett
Certain circumstances and situations in life are beyond our control. It could be a problem caused by a natural phenomenon or by a human doing or undoing. When we are in such trying situations, seeing trials as divine avenues for training makes us overcomers. Because in every problem, there is a divine solution. Thus, connecting with God is the game changer.
